Throughout my experience of being a youth reporter at the Herald institution, I learned deeply about how the article publishing process works by going through each step as a reporter. Picking intriguing current topics for my article to publish on the news board was a novel experience for me. I got many chances to interact with the editor throughout the revision process and was able to visibly notice my article getting better. Compared to the beginning of my career as a youth reporter, I have improved a lot in professionally structuring an article, having a better understanding of the topic I researched, and feeling a sense of pride in thinking about people that are going to gain new information via reading my written article. I strongly recommend being a Herald Insight youth reporter to vividly experience what it is like being a reporter, and to grow as an educated writer.
